In early Israel the character of Yahweh as the war-God forms a prominent feature in the conception of God (Num 10:35; Num 21:14; Josh 5:13; Josh 10:11; Judg 5:4; Judg 5:13; Judg 5:20; Judg 5:23; Judg 5:31, etc.).
