ja-a-zi'-a (ya`aziyahu, "Yah strengthens"): In 1 Chr 24:26; 1 Chr 24:27, a Levite, "son" of Merari. But the Massoretic Text is corrupt. The Septuagint's Codex Vaticanus reads (Ozeid), which some take to suggest Uzziah (compare 27:25); see Curtis, Critical and Exegetical Commentary on the Books of Chronicles, 274-75; See Kittel, at the place.
